The backbone of our ethos at Skye Eco Bells is to work respectfully with the natural environment, building a safe haven for the diverse wildlife that lives here whilst creating a simple yet cosy amd comfortable base from which you can explore Skye...or simply enjoy a peaceful retreat from the stresses of modern technology.
Skye Eco Bells is a distinctive eco-friendly glamping retreat on the Isle of Skye. The site is intentionally small, with just three cosy cabins (Finnish Huts) and one Bell Tent set in a native woodland which offers guests a peaceful, relaxing escape and an ideal base for exploring the wild beauty of Skye. The site is off-grid, with no electricity or WiFi, allowing you to truly unplug from the outside world and reconnect with what matters most - each other and the breathtaking natural surroundings. Lighting is provided by rechargeable lanterns and the warm glow of candles, enhancing the tranquil atmosphere and the cabins are heated by a wood burning stove. For your modern day charging needs, there is a 500W power station in each cabin. Each accomodation has its own fire pit with picnic bench. The cabins and tent have shared use of the compost toilets, unique greenhouse shower and sociable Hub and Shack camp kitchens, which are all part of the off-grid experience. Up to two dogs are welcome by prior arrangement.

Half hour drive from Skye Eco Bells with a mile walk on easy paths.Coral Beach Small but stunning beach made from maerl. 15 minutes drive from Skye Eco Bells. The beach is 1.5 miles from the carpark.Oronsay Island Stunning island with impressive cliffs, reached via a tidal causeway, 10 miles drive from Skye Eco Bells followed by easy moorland walking, approximately 3 miles round trip. Keep an eye on the tide so you don't get stuck!Fairy Glen A miniature version of The Quiraing!Quiraing Part of the Trotternish Ridge, a path takes you beneath impressive cliffs and around weird and wonderful rock formations.Old Man of Storr Part of the Trotternish ridge, the Old Man of Storr is reached by a steep walk from the Storr carpark.The Fairy Pools A series of cascading waterfalls and plunge pools. Popular for swimming if you can stand the cold!Old School Restaurant Good for local meat and seafood, limited vegetarian choices.The Dunvegan Fire Restaurant, also does cake & coffee and lunches. Serves Vegan food. The gardens are lovely.Sligachan Lots of great low level hillwalking starts from here as well as routes in to the Black Cuillin and Red Cuillin mountain ranges. The Sligachan Hotel also serves food and drink to non-residents.Stein Inn The oldest pub in Skye, next door to Michelin starred Lochbay restaurant.The Old Inn Traditional pub grub and regular live music.
